Uptown 6 October Receives High-Level Russian Business Delegation in a Historic Visit strengthening Egyptian–Russian Economic Relations
6th of October City, Egypt — Uptown 6 October Developments welcomed a high-level Russian business delegation in a landmark visit that marks a new phase of economic cooperation between Egypt and Russia, following the company’s recent official visit to Moscow.
The visit was held under the framework of the “General Economic Cooperation” program organized by the Russian Foreign Trade Academy and represents an important step toward strengthening bilateral partnerships in real estate development, construction, trade, and urban development.
The tour included several notable landmarks, including Grand Uptown Mall, a premier retail destination inspired by Moscow’s iconic GUM department store and expected to become Egypt’s leading luxury shopping center; Uptown Residences, offering upscale residential buildings that combine villa-style living with modern apartment comfort; Signature Homes, featuring villas and twin houses designed for families seeking a refined lifestyle within a fully integrated community; and the Kingdom of Knowledge International School, a world-class educational institution offering international curricula from kindergarten through high school.
The Russian delegation included senior executives and entrepreneurs from various industrial sectors in Russia, among them Mirage Hotel (tourism and hospitality), exploring partnerships in smart hotel systems and luxury tourism; Travel Service Russ / Noboru (travel and consumer goods), studying supply opportunities for tourism-related products; and Doodorz (construction and design), discussing collaboration in architectural and hotel design.
During the visit, Uptown 6 October’s management presented its future development plans and explored potential areas of cooperation, including building materials, technology transfer, hospitality management, retail expansion, innovative food and beverage concepts, and educational partnerships.
The visit reflects the deepening Egyptian–Russian economic relations, founded on mutual interests and a long-standing friendship. Uptown 6 October continues to serve as a bridge for economic collaboration, particularly through its flagship project, Grand Uptown Mall, which embodies a unique blend of Russian heritage and Egyptian innovation.
More than just a field visit, this event represents a strategic vision aimed at strengthening economic integration between Egypt and Russia ; opening new horizons for investment and knowledge exchange in areas such as real estate technology, smart project management, and international trade.
It also reaffirms Uptown 6 October’s role in facilitating partnerships between Russian and Egyptian companies, with a strong emphasis on sustainable development and mixed-use projects that support the local economy, create new job opportunities, and deliver long-term mutual benefits for both nations.
As part of its efforts to strengthen future relations, Uptown 6 October Developments is preparing to welcome a second Russian delegation from the Sverdlovsk Region on November 17, 2025, led by Deputy Governor Alexey Kuznetsov and comprising representatives from ten major industrial companies.
The visit will focus on collaboration in building materials, industrial technologies, and retail, and will take place during the “Egypt–Sverdlovsk Region Business Forum: New Horizons for Economic Cooperation”, to be held at Hilton Cairo Nile Maadi.
